The story behind “Sagamore Hill”

Sagamore Hill was the home of Theodore Roosevelt, often considered the first “Progressive” President of the Modern Era. From his home, away from the pressures of the White House, he would regularly correspond with political leaders, labor organizations, social welfare activists, and environmental warriors as he fleshed out his ideas of how to ensure every American could get a “square deal”.

Sagamore Hill Consulting is unabashedly dedicated to working with candidates and organizations dedicated to make America and the world a better, more equitable place for all it’s citizens.

Andrew Heaton is the Principal and Founder of Sagamore Hill Consulting. He brings a range of experience and knowledge from the public and private sector. Before starting SHC, Andrew was a Political Advisor for Sen. Raphael Warnock’s successful re-election campaign in 2022. He was previously the NW GA Outreach Director in Sen. Warnock’s state office.

Prior to joining Sen. Warnock’s first campaign as Trips Director, Andrew spent nearly a decade in Business Development and Marketing, mostly with AmLaw 200 firms in Atlanta, New York, and the San Francisco Bay area. He also spent years working with local and state political parties, and worked with numerous candidates and campaigns in volunteer and advisory roles. His years spent traveling around GA have given him specific insights into strategies and policies focused for a wider-GA audience outside of Metro Atlanta.

Andrew earned his JD/MBA from Indiana University’s McKinney School of Law and the IU Kelley School of Business. He earned his BBA in Marketing from the University of Montevallo in Alabama. He is a native of Mobile, AL.
